Placements24 is seeking a Geophysical Interpreter to join our subsurface team in Vereeniging. You will analyze seismic data and integrate wells, logs, and production information to build robust subsurface models for exploration and development decisions.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Geophysics/Geology and has 7+ years in seismic interpretation, with proficiency in Petrel, Kingdom Suite, and HampsonRussell.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geophysics, Geology, or related geoscience field.
• Minimum of 7 years of seismic data interpretation experience in oil and gas.
• Proficient with Petrel, Kingdom Suite and HampsonRussell.
• Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and modeling principles.
• Experience with attribute analysis, inversion techniques, and seismic facies analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret 2D and 3D seismic data to identify structures and traps.
• Perform velocity analysis and AVO analyses.
• Integrate seismic data with well log and production data to build subsurface models.
• Generate maps, cross-sections, and reports communicating interpretations and risks.
• Collaborate with exploration and development teams for drilling input.
• Stay updated on new geophysical technologies and workflows.
