The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Geophysics/Geology and has 7+ years in seismic interpretation, with proficiency in Petrel, Kingdom Suite, and HampsonRussell.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geophysics, Geology, or related geoscience field.
• Minimum of 7 years of seismic data interpretation experience in oil and gas.
• Proficient with Petrel, Kingdom Suite and HampsonRussell.
• Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and modeling principles.
• Experience with attribute analysis, inversion techniques, and seismic facies analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Geophysical Interpreter to join their innovative subsurface team in Vereeniging . In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing seismic and other geophysical data to identify and evaluate hydrocarbon potential. You will work closely with geologists and reservoir engineers to build integrated subsurface models that support exploration and development decisions. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in seismic data processing and interpretation, coupled with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities

• Interpret 2D and 3D seismic data to identify geological structures, stratigraphic features, and potential hydrocarbon traps.

• Integrate seismic data with well log, core, and production data to create comprehensive subsurface models.
• Generate maps, cross-sections, and reports to clearly communicate geological interpretations and risks.
• Collaborate with exploration and development teams to mature prospects and provide input for drilling decisions.
• Stay updated on new geophysical technologies and methodologies to improve interpretation workflows.
