Job summary

Indsafri in South Africa is seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to drive Agile delivery, coach teams and stakeholders, and promote continuous improvement within a complex technology environment.

You will facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives and PI Planning), mentor Product Owners and delivery teams, and promote SAFe, Scrum and Lean-Agile practices to improve flow, quality and predictability.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or related field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
• Minimum 8 years' experience as a Scrum Master or in a related Agile delivery role.
• Proven experience leading Agile teams in complex digital transformation environments.
• Strong practical experience with Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and Lean-Agile principles.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinement, Retrospectives and PI Planning.
• Coach Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects and delivery teams on backlog management, prioritisation, estimation and readiness.
• Promote Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and Lean-Agile principles to improve team performance and delivery outcomes.
• Identify and remove impediments, manage dependencies, and escalation organisational blockers and delivery risks.
• Monitor Agile metrics to improve delivery flow, predictability, quality, capacity and team effectiveness.
• Support sprint goals and Program Increment (PI) objectives through effective planning and delivery tracking.
• Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional, distributed and hybrid teams.
• Promote servant leadership, accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate inter-team dependencies and participate in Scrum of Scrums (SoS) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities.
• Encourage the use of automation, AI-assisted tools and data-driven insights to enhance delivery outcomes.
