Job summary

Global Recruitment is seeking an experienced Manager: Supply Chain & Asset Management in the Eastern Cape. The role oversees end-to-end supply chain, asset management and insurance, with responsibility for contract management across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will hold an NQF 7 qualification in commerce or SCM, 5–7 years' experience (4+ at management level), and strong knowledge of financial systems and PFMA/ Treasury Regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma at NQF 7 in commerce or SCM
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in a management role
• Advanced computer skills and knowledge of financial management systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Supply Chain and Asset Management strategies, plans, policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislative and regulatory requirements
• Manage Supply Chain Management and logistics functions
• Identify, assess and manage SCM-related risks
• Manage the implementation of the asset management system
• Oversee asset registers, asset verification, acquisitions and maintenance
• Ensure assets are safeguarded and accurately recorded
• Manage demand planning, forecasting, expenditure and market analysis
• Develop acquisition, operational and disposal plans
• Manage strategic sourcing and procurement processes
• Ensure PFMA and Treasury Regulations compliance
• Assess value for money and identify appropriate service providers
• Manage inventory and stock control processes
• Oversee contract and lease registers
• Monitor and report on contracts and agreements
• Participate in procurement committees
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Manage risk, staff performance, training and capacity building

Our client, a provincial public entity in the Eastern Cape, is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Manager: Supply Chain & Asset Management to oversee the end-to-end supply chain management value chain, asset management, insurance and contract management functions.

MAIN OBJECTIVE

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Supply Chain Management value chain, ensuring that organisational assets and operations are adequately covered by insurance, and ensuring effective contract management across the organisation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• NQF Level 7 Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in:
