Job summary

Genetec is seeking a Sales Engineer to be the technical partner for our Africa Sales organization. You will act as the primary technical contact for customers and internal teams, ensuring Genetec solutions are understood, trusted, and deployed successfully.

In this role, you will develop product expertise, tailor solutions, deliver demos, support pre-sales, and travel ~40% across the region. Senior technical experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in IP networking, Windows OS, PC configuration and software integration.
• 5+ years in customer-facing or partner-facing roles in technology fields.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for technical demoes.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving and incident resolution ability.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on timelines.
• Good understanding of local security markets across Africa; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain technical understanding of Genetec product portfolio.
• Define suitable solutions based on customer and partner requirements.
• Deliver high-impact product demonstrations and presentations.
• Provide technical expertise to Sales teams during responses to requirements.
• Collaborate with Technical Support to ensure smooth post-sale deployment.
• Represent Genetec at industry events and in regional activities.
• Create technical content and share field insights with Product Management.
• Implement complex software solutions and support deployment.
• Travel approximately 40% of the time across the region.
