Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Restaurant Manager for a popular Centurion restaurant. The role combines on-site leadership with strategic planning to deliver an exceptional dining experience and maintain profitability.

You will oversee front-of-house operations, train staff, manage inventory and costs, ensure health and safety, and collaborate with the Head Chef on menus. Hybrid role with flexibility to lead a busy team in Centurion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in restaurant management with a proven track record.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of P&L, inventory and labor management.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Experience with restaurant management software and POS systems.
• Hospitality management qualification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all restaurant operations to ensure smooth service.
• Train and mentor front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service.
• Develop service standards and procedures.
• Monitor labor costs, inventory and food/beverage costs for profitability.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene compliance.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints.
• Collaborate with Head Chef on menu execution and specials.
• Manage reservations, table allocations and guest flow.
• Conduct staff meetings and evaluations.
• Support marketing and event planning; maintain dining ambiance.
