Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer to maximize hydrocarbon recovery in Mossel Bay. You will analyze reservoir performance, build dynamic models, and create field development plans balancing economics and technical constraints.

The role requires 6+ years in reservoir engineering, proficiency with Eclipse and CMG Suite, and strong analytical and collaborative skills to work with geoscientists and production engineers.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of reservoir engineering experience, including reservoir simulation.
• Proficiency with Eclipse and CMG Suite.
• Strong analytical skills with understanding of reservoir physics, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Experience in field development planning and economic analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models to predict behavior under production scenarios.
• Analyze production data, well tests and core data to characterize reservoirs.
• Prepare field development plans including well placement, production forecasts and economic evaluations.
• Recommend strategies for enhanced oil recovery and production optimization.
• Evaluate opportunities for reserve additions and contribute to business development.
