Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in reservoir engineering, including simulation and performance analysis.
• Proficiency with reservoir simulation software Eclipse, CMG, Tempest and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of reservoir fluid properties, rock mechanics, and recovery mechanisms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with strong technical communication skills.
• Experience in the Western Cape energy landscape is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed reservoir simulation models to predict future performance and evaluate development scenarios.
• Analyze production trends, identify opportunities for improved oil recovery (IOR) and enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
• Conduct material balance calculations and decline curve analysis for various fields.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations on reservoir performance and recommended strategies.
• Collaborate with production engineers, geologists, and geoscientists to ensure integrated field management.
• Evaluate potential new drilling locations and workover opportunities based on reservoir understanding.
