Placements24 is seeking a Reservoir Engineer in Richards Bay to maximize hydrocarbon recovery through advanced reservoir management and production optimization. You will analyze reservoir performance, build field development plans and apply EOR techniques to improve recovery in significant reserves.

The role requires a Master’s in Petroleum Engineering and 7+ years of industry experience, with strong skills in reservoir simulation and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years experience as Reservoir Engineer in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, CMG) and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze reservoir performance data, including production rates, pressures, and fluid properties.
• Develop and calibrate reservoir simulation models to predict future production and evaluate development scenarios.
• Design and implement EOR projects to improve recovery factors.
• Prepare field development plans and economic evaluations for new projects and infill drilling campaigns.
• Monitor production performance and recommend operational adjustments to optimize recovery.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and management to define reservoir strategy.
