Placements24 is seeking a skilled Reservoir Engineer to contribute to exploration and production activities in Klerksdorp, South Africa. The role focuses on maximizing hydrocarbon recovery through detailed analysis, reservoir characterization, and planning using advanced simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.

This role is vital for maximizing hydrocarbon recovery from reservoirs through detailed analysis and strategic planning. You will work with advanced simulation tools and geological data to understand reservoir behavior and forecast future performance. Key Responsibilities

• Perform reservoir characterization using geological and engineering data.
• Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models to predict production performance.
• Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and implement appropriate strategies.
• Conduct economic evaluations of field development plans and production enhancement projects.
• Monitor reservoir performance, analyze production trends, and provide recommendations for optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in reservoir engineering , including simulation and analysis.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG, Petrel RE).
• Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid properties, and depletion mechanisms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with South African Oil & Gas projects is a plus.
