Placements24 seeks a Senior Reservoir Engineer to join the team in Pietermaritzburg. The role focuses on in-depth reservoir studies, production strategy development, and optimization of hydrocarbon recovery for key assets.

Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and management to ensure economic viability and efficient exploitation of oil and gas reserves in KwaZulu-Natal.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive reservoir engineering experience.
• Experience with Eclipse or CMG reservoir simulation is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed reservoir characterization and performance analysis using advanced simulation software.
• Develop and implement optimized field development plans and production enhancement strategies.
• Conduct economic evaluations and risk assessments for new projects and existing fields.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on reservoir management best practices.
• Monitor reservoir performance, forecast production, and identify opportunities for optimization.
