About the Role

Our client, a key player in the renewable energy sector within South Africa, is seeking an experienced Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager. This role is based in Kimberley, Northern Cape, and is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale solar and wind energy projects. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a balance between on-site project oversight and remote administrative tasks. You will manage all project phases, from feasibility studies and permitting through to construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind) from inception to completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years specifically in the renewable energy sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale solar or wind energy projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Familiarity with South African renewable energy policies, regulations, and grid connection processes.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing both remote coordination and on-site responsibilities.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA.
