Job summary

Prosperitas Personnel seeks a Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Cape Town and broader Western Cape renewables market. The role demands a proven track record in winning new business, building high-level relationships and leading regional commercial initiatives.

You will identify opportunities, engage senior decision-makers, lead tender responses and help shape a high-performance regional presence while supporting strategic planning and local team development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Energy Management or related field.
Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in business development, sales leadership or senior management in renewable energy.
Proven track record of winning new business and generating revenue.
Strong understanding of the renewable energy market: Utility-scale Solar PV, C&I Solar, BESS.
Experience with IPP/EPC/renewable energy developers or equivalent.
Strong commercial and contractual understanding; proven senior stakeholder management.
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills; mentoring experience is a plus.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute commercially focused business development strategies.
Identify, qualify and pursue new opportunities across renewable energy.
Build a pipeline of projects and clients.
Develop relationships with developers, EPCs, consultants, IPPs, investors and stakeholders.
Engage with senior decision-makers and develop long-term commercial relationships.
Lead and support tender responses, proposals and negotiations.
Identify opportunities across utility-scale solar, C&I energy and battery storage.
Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities.
Travel nationally to meet clients and support activities.
