Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Remote HR Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing for a distributed workforce in South Africa. This fully remote role supports HR and finance to ensure accurate salaries, deductions, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years SA payroll experience, familiarity with VIP Payroll or Sage, and strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant Payroll Management qualification or equivalent in accounting/HR.
• 4+ years of payroll processing experience in South Africa.
• Strong knowledge of SA payroll legislation and tax requirements.
• Experience with VIP Payroll or Sage and HRIS systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Strong communication and remote work collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate payroll for all employees on a regular cycle.
• Manage statutory deductions (PAYE, UIF, SDL) and ensure compliance.
• Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
• Administer payroll-related employee benefits (pension, medical aid).
• Liaise with government bodies for payroll submissions and queries.
• Provide prompt payroll support to employees.
