Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Reservoir Engineer for a fully remote role. The position focuses on optimizing hydrocarbon recovery using advanced modeling, simulation, and EOR strategies, with global collaboration across teams.

You will characterize reservoirs, monitor performance, and develop development plans supported by data-driven analyses and detailed reporting to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on reservoir engineering experience with extensive use of simulation software.
• Proficiency with Eclipse, CMG Suite, Petrel RE.
• Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid properties, and geological concepts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, calibrate, and run reservoir simulation models to forecast production and evaluate development scenarios.
• Analyze production data, well performance, and reservoir behavior to identify optimization opportunities.
• Conduct reservoir characterization studies, including volumetric assessments and uncertainty analysis.
• Plan and recommend well intervention strategies to maximize recovery.
• Evaluate and propose Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) techniques and projects.
• Prepare technical reports, economic analyses, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
