Qualifications

• LLB or equivalent qualification.
• Admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum 10 years of substantial experience practicing civil litigation.
• Proven track record of handling complex, high-stakes litigation matters.
• Excellent client management and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex litigation from inception through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategies and provide expert legal counsel on case prospects and risk.
• Draft and file claims, defenses, appeals, and substantive motions.
• Conduct thorough legal research, analysis, and factual investigations to build strong cases.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Mentor and guide junior legal staff within the remote team structure.
• Stay current with legal precedents, legislative changes, and best practices in litigation.
