Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to join a remote-first team delivering installation, maintenance, and repair of complex industrial equipment. The role emphasizes autonomy, proactive problem solving, and strong remote collaboration.

You will diagnose remotely, guide customers through installation, carry out preventive checks, and document activities. Occasional on-site travel may be required; you will have access to advanced training and company equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in field service, installation, or maintenance of complex equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Ability to work remotely with excellent communication.
• Relevant technical qualification in Engineering, Electronics, or Mechanics.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site interventions.

Responsibilities

• Perform remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of sophisticated machinery via video conferencing and remote access.
• Provide guidance during installation and commissioning, ensuring technical specifications and safety protocols.
• Conduct remote preventive maintenance and checks to identify potential issues.
• Develop training materials and sessions for clients on operation and troubleshooting.
• Document all service activities in the CRM with detail.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to give feedback and improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge base of serviced products and technologies.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed during remote work.
