Placements24 is seeking a Senior Grid Integration Engineer to join a fully remote team, focusing on connecting renewable energy sources to the national grid. You will analyze grid infrastructure, develop interconnection studies, and provide expert guidance on power systems engineering for large-scale projects.
The role requires deep knowledge of grid codes, regulatory requirements, and experience with interconnection processes across jurisdictions.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization.
- 8+ years' experience in grid integration or power systems analysis.
- Experience with PSS/E, PSLF, and DigSilent PowerFactory.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed grid interconnection studies including stability, fault current, and protection coordination analysis.
- Develop and review technical specifications for grid connection equipment and systems for renewable energy projects.
- Ensure compliance with grid codes, standards, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with utility companies, system operators, and project teams to facilitate approvals and commissioning.
- Provide expert technical support on power systems challenges related to grid integration.
- Stay updated on grid technologies, energy storage, and their impact on grid stability.
