Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Energy Storage Systems Engineer to join our innovative team in a fully remote capacity. You will design, integrate, and optimize advanced energy storage solutions to support renewable energy and grid stability.
You will lead system design for BESS, conduct feasibility studies, and collaborate across teams to ensure seamless commissioning and performance optimization.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in power systems or energy storage.
- 7+ years' experience in design, engineering and deployment of energy storage systems.
- Strong knowledge of battery chemistries, power conversion, and BESS control strategies.
- Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and grid integration studies.
- Excellent problem-solving and remote collaboration abilities.
- Experience with project management is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead system design and engineering for battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Perform feasibility studies, site assessments, and energy yield modeling.
- Develop interconnection strategies and ensure grid-code compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers, software developers and field teams.
- Analyze performance data and implement optimization solutions.
- Stay updated on battery technology and industry standards.
