Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Renewable Energy Electrical Engineer to join a fully remote team focused on design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for solar, wind, and other sustainable projects.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in electrical engineering with renewable energy, strong knowledge of grid interconnection, and experience with energy storage solutions, ready to collaborate in a distributed environment for impactful projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on renewable energy.
• Proficiency in designing and analyzing solar PV systems, wind farms, or energy storage solutions.
• Knowledge of grid interconnection standards and power quality for renewable energy.
• Familiarity with electrical design software and simulation tools relevant to renewable energy.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for remote collaboration and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including solar PV arrays, wind turbines, and energy storage systems.
• Perform electrical load calculations, single-line diagrams, and protection coordination studies for renewable energy installations.
• Specify electrical equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical codes, industry standards (IEC, IEEE), and utility interconnection requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth execution of projects.
• Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for potential renewable energy development sites.
