Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in renewable energy to join a fully remote team. You will lead design, analysis, and implementation of energy projects from concept to commissioning, shaping the firm's technical direction.

The role emphasizes sustainability, autonomy in a distributed environment, and collaboration with a global group of professionals. A strong background in grid-tied/off-grid systems and battery storage is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 7+ years in electrical engineering, renewable energy focus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Perform detailed electrical load calculations, power system analysis, and equipment sizing for distributed generation systems.
• Develop technical specifications, schematics, single-line diagrams, and control system logic for energy projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and external stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure successful implementation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Oversee the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical installations, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
