Placements24 is seeking a Senior Event Operations Manager to lead the delivery of high-profile events from a remote-first setup. The role requires extensive experience in overseeing large-scale operations and coordinating global teams to ensure flawless execution across conferences, weddings, and corporate retreats.

You will manage end-to-end event logistics, vendor negotiations and performance, while maintaining excellent guest experiences and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in event management, with substantial oversight of large-scale events.
• Experience leading remote teams and coordinating complex projects via virtual tools.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans for all events, including timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate logistics: venue, vendors, AV, catering, staffing, transport.
• Oversee on-site execution (virtual or via representatives) and resolve issues quickly.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and client relations to meet objectives.
• Conduct post-event analysis and prepare reports with insights for improvement.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and venues; negotiate favorable terms.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and legal regulations.
• Mentor junior event staff and promote learning within the remote team.
