Our client, a reputable main contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage costs and contracts for significant construction projects in **East London, Eastern Cape**. This role requires a professional with extensive experience in all aspects of construction cost management, from tendering and budgeting to final account settlement. You will be responsible for ensuring the financial viability of projects, managing risks, and fostering strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit detailed tender and contract documents.
• Undertake cost analysis and feasibility studies for construction projects.
• Manage and monitor project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Prepare interim and final payment applications and negotiate final accounts.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, including payment valuations and claims.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and contractual issues.
• Advise on procurement strategies and contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
• Professional registration with the SACQSP is highly regarded.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Proven experience managing costs for large-scale building and civil engineering projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JBCC).
• Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
