Placements24 is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Randburg-based role. You will oversee project costs from initial estimates through final accounts, ensuring financial control and value for clients across diverse construction projects.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in QS or related field, 6+ years' experience, expertise in JBCC/FIDIC contracts, and strong negotiation and analytical skills. Pr.QS status is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in quantity surveying.
• Knowledge of JBCC, FIDIC contracts and cost control principles.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and cost estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender docs for projects.
• Manage project costs through contract lifecycle with forecasting and reporting.
• Negotiate and administer construction contracts; handle variations, claims and disputes.
• Advise clients on cost-effective procurement and risk management.
• Conduct site visits to measure work and verify valuations.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and financial regulations in Randburg.
