Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Lead Quantity Surveyor based in Centurion to manage all costs from initial estimates to final accounts. You will ensure projects stay within budget, advise on contracts, tendering, and risk management, and lead cost control for major projects.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Quantity Surveying, SACQSP accreditation is a plus, and at least seven years of experience in construction cost surveying.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field required.
• Professional qualification such as SACQSP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
• Manage tendering process, evaluate bids, negotiate with contractors and suppliers.
• Monitor expenditures and cash flow, identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Administer contracts, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Conduct site visits to verify work for payment.
