Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost management and financial control for construction projects in Upington and the Northern Cape. You will drive budgets from estimates to final accounts, ensuring profitable delivery across major builds.

The role requires 7+ years of QS experience, strong knowledge of FIDIC/NEC contracts, and proficiency with cost management software and MS Excel. A competitive salary and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• At least 7 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Strong knowledge of contracts (FIDIC, NEC) and procurement.
• Proficiency in cost management software and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Manage tender processes, including contract preparation, negotiation, and award.
• Measure and value work, prepare interim and final payment certificates.
• Control project costs by monitoring expenditures and implementing cost-saving measures.
• Manage variations and claims, negotiating settlements with contractors and clients.
• Prepare and submit monthly cost reports and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and legislation.
