About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their reputable firm in Randburg . This role is central to managing project costs effectively, from initial estimates through to final project accounts. You will be responsible for ensuring financial control, advising on contractual matters, and maximizing value for clients across a range of construction projects. The ideal candidate possesses strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to navigate complex financial and contractual landscapes within the Gauteng construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for various construction projects .
• Manage all project costs throughout the contract lifecycle, including monitoring expenditure, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Negotiate and administer construction contracts, handling variations, claims, and disputes effectively.
• Advise clients and project teams on cost-effective procurement strategies and risk management.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, measure work, and verify valuations.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and relevant financial regulations in Randburg .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in quantity surveying, preferably within a contracting or consulting environment.
• In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JBCC, FIDIC), cost control, and financial management principles.
