This role is crucial for managing project costs from inception to completion, ensuring financial viability and profitability. You will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, and financial reporting on significant construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for financial detail and a strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement methods, playing a vital role in the financial success of the projects undertaken by the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects.
• Manage all aspects of contract administration, including tendering, negotiation, and claims management.
• Monitor project expenditures, track costs against budget, and report on financial performance.
• Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering exercises to optimize project costs.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, legislation, and company financial policies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients on financial matters related to construction projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of measurement standards (e.g., SMM2), contract forms (e.g., JBCC, FIDIC), and cost management principles.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Excel for financial analysis.
