Job summary

HID Global in Durban, South Africa seeks a Senior QA Engineer to lead quality assurance for software, firmware, and integrated systems. You will define test strategies, drive automation, and ensure products meet customer requirements within an Agile environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor QA engineers, and oversee testing processes across projects, enabling high-quality releases and reliable performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Software Quality Engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and TestRail.
• Experience with functional, automation, and regression testing.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile team members to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Define test plans, test cases, and strategies for software, firmware, and integrated systems.
• Lead QA activities across multiple projects and provide technical guidance.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and regression tests.
• Execute manual and automated testing to identify defects and verify functionality.
• Reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve defects with developers.
• Mentor QA engineers and promote testing best practices.
• Define and oversee QA processes across the team.
