Job summary

Absa Group in South Africa seeks a Senior Coverage Banker to lead strategic relationships with state-owned enterprises, municipalities, provincial governments, public utilities and sovereign-related institutions by delivering infrastructure, funding and treasury solutions.

You will drive revenue growth through origination, structuring and execution of multi-product transactions across lending, advisory and capital markets, working within a sector-led model to align client needs with the bank's

Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 12-18+ years of experience in corporate/investment banking.
• Proven track record in managing senior client relationships and delivering revenue growth in the Public Sector arena.
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex, multi-product transactions.
• Experience within sector-led or matrix coverage models.
• Significant experience covering Public Sector with PFMA/MFMA, Municipal finance, public procurement, Sovereign risk, SOE governance and Infrastructure funding.
