Job summary

Parvana in Cape Town seeks an experienced commercial property and facilities manager to oversee a diverse portfolio. You will enforce lease administration, budgeting, maintenance coordination, and compliance with OHS, CPA, and local by-laws.

You will lead tenant lifecycle, supervise third-party contractors, generate monthly reports on vacancies, arrears and costs, and collaborate with finance on budgets. Requires 5–8 years' experience, relevant degree, and proficiency in MRI or similar software

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Property Studies/Real Estate or related financial/legal field.
• 5–8 years of experience in commercial property or facilities management.
• Knowledge of Property Sector Code, CPA and commercial lease law.
• Financial management skills including debtors/creditors and reporting.
• Proficiency with property management software (MRI, MDA) and Excel.
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary custodian for statutory compliance (OHS, by-laws, environmental).
• Enforce and administer commercial lease agreements with tenants and landlords.
• Oversee debtor/creditor ledgers, credit control, and financial risk mitigation.
• Lead internal/external property audits with complete documentation.
• Manage full tenant lifecycle: leases, renewals, rentals, arrears.
• Collaborate with finance on budgets and monthly performance reports.
• Oversee service agreements and third-party contractors; optimise costs.
• Develop and execute planned preventative maintenance to preserve asset value.
• Handle day-to-day operations, utilities, and tenant queries/maintenance.
