Qualifications

Proven expertise in conveyancing, property development, and commercial leasing.
Thorough understanding of South African property legislation and case law.
Experience in managing large property portfolios and complex transactions.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a demanding workload.
Proficiency in property law software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all legal aspects of property acquisitions, disposals and developments.
Draft, review, and negotiate sale agreements, leases, and sectional title documents.
Oversee conveyancing process and ensure registration of property transfers.
Provide expert advice on zoning, land use, environmental regulations and building compliance.
Manage property disputes including landlord-tenant and boundary issues.
Ensure compliance with property legislation including Deeds Registries Act and sectional titles.
Advise on property finance transactions and related security documents.
Conduct due diligence on potential property investments.
Liaise with external legal professionals, government authorities and stakeholders.
