About the Role

Our client, a reputable property development firm situated in Klerksdorp, North West, is seeking an experienced Legal Advisor specializing in property law and conveyancing. This role is essential for overseeing all legal aspects of property transactions, from acquisition and development to sales and transfers. The Legal Advisor will manage the conveyancing process, ensure compliance with property legislation, and provide legal counsel on real estate matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional to engage with significant property deals within a growing company in the North West province. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a proven ability to manage complex conveyancing matters efficiently and accurately. The role requires a strong understanding of South African property law and a commitment to client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of conveyancing transactions, including transfers, bond registrations, and cancellations.
• Draft and review property sale agreements, lease agreements, and other related legal documents.
• Conduct thorough due diligence on properties and ensure clear title.
• Liaise with estate agents, financial institutions, and government departments (e.g., Deeds Office).
• Advise clients on property law matters, including sectional title schemes and homeowners' associations.
• Ensure compliance with the Property Practitioners Act and other relevant legislation.
• Manage and resolve any legal disputes arising from property transactions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal records.
• Provide legal support for property development projects.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney or qualified Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in property law and conveyancing.
• In-depth knowledge of the South African Deeds Registry system and conveyancing procedures.
• Proven experience in managing a high volume of conveyancing transactions.
• Strong understanding of contract law, sectional title legislation, and estate agency law.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
