Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Real Estate Legal Advisor for its Bloemfontein office. The role focuses on property legislation, conveyancing, and related legal matters within South Africa, serving developers, lenders, and property owners.

The ideal candidate has an LLB, admission as an Attorney/Conveyancer, and at least six years of post-admission experience in property law, with strong drafting, due diligence, and dispute resolution skills to manage complex transactions.

Qualifications

• LLB degree required and admission as Attorney or Conveyancer in SA.
• 6+ years post-admission experience in property law and conveyancing.
• Strong drafting, due diligence and dispute resolution capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on SA property law across residential, commercial and agricultural sectors.
• Manage all stages of property transactions including sales, transfers and registrations (conveyancing).
• Draft, review and negotiate deeds of sale, lease agreements and sectional title schemes.
• Advise on development, zoning and land use matters within Bloemfontein and Free State.
• Conduct due diligence for property acquisitions and financing.
• Represent clients in property-related disputes, litigation and arbitration.
