This critical role operates within a fully remote framework, enabling you to collaborate with talented engineering teams and diverse clients from anywhere. You will be responsible for guiding projects from initial concept and requirements gathering through to development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical understanding of software development, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex software solutions on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of software development projects, adhering to Agile methodologies.
• Define project scope, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product owners and stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and dependencies, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Oversee software testing, quality assurance processes, and deployment activities.
• Manage communication with development teams, QA engineers, clients, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent updates.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and impediments, proactively addressing challenges to maintain project momentum.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and release management processes.
• Track project progress and report on key metrics and milestones to senior management.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a strong emphasis on software development projects.
• Proven experience managing full-cycle software development projects, ideally using Agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage distributed development teams effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), common programming languages, and database technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello is essential.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMP are highly advantageous.
• Experience working with clients or teams in the Gauteng region is a plus but not required for this remote role.
