Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager for fully remote technology rollout initiatives. You will lead planning, execution, and successful delivery of software, hardware, and IT infrastructure deployments across the organization from a distributed team base near Benoni, Gauteng, ZA.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of PM experience, strong leadership, and proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of PM experience in IT infrastructure and software deployments.
• Proven track record delivering complex technology projects on schedule and budget.
• Experience in leading remote teams and distributed stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred; Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering.

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic technology firm, is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead critical technology rollout initiatives. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from your home office while managing complex deployments. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects involving the implementation of new software, hardware, and IT infrastructure across the organization. This position requires a strong leader with extensive experience in managing large-scale technology projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. The ideal candidate will be adept at stakeholder management and possess excellent communication skills to navigate the challenges of a distributed team environment. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of technology rollout projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining scope, setting timelines, managing budgets, and allocating resources effectively.
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment towards project goals.
• Manage stakeholder expectations through clear, consistent, and proactive communication.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Ensure successful deployment and integration of new technologies, including user training and support.
• Monitor project performance against key metrics and report progress to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and technology deployment strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of project management experience, with a strong focus on IT infrastructure and software deployment projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
• Demonstrated experience in managing remote teams and distributed stakeholders effectively.
• Strong understanding of agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements in a fast-paced environment.
