The ideal candidate has 9+ years in project management, with 5+ years in complex software, and strong stakeholder management. Candidates must be eligible to work remotely in South Africa and possess PM certifications or a Master’s degree.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) for multiple projects concurrently, from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, task breakdown, resource allocation, and realistic timelines.
• Employ and champion Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) to drive efficient development processes and foster team collaboration.
• Effectively manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed.
• Communicate project status, progress, and challenges clearly and concisely to all stakeholders, including executive leadership and development teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal development teams, product owners, QA engineers, and external partners.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software products that meet or exceed client expectations and business objectives.
• Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• A minimum of 9 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus (5+ years) on managing complex software development projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in various SDLC methodologies, particularly Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.

• Strong technical understanding of software development principles, architectures, and modern technologies.
