Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of major renewable energy infrastructure in Midrand, Gauteng. You will drive planning, implementation and delivery of solar and wind projects, ensuring timeliness, budget adherence, and quality across all phases.

You will manage stakeholders, risk, contracts and teams, leveraging a strong track record in renewable energy project management. Travel to sites and client meetings is expected as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil) or Construction Management.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is advantageous.
• 7+ years in project management with 5+ years in renewables.
• Experience delivering large-scale capital projects from initiation to completion.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with renewables regulations and market dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of renewable energy projects.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines, budgets and resources.
• Oversee execution, monitor progress and mitigate risks.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Lead project teams and foster a high-performance environment.
• Engage with clients, government agencies and local communities.
• Provide regular project status reports to senior management.
• Manage project financials, including budgeting and cost control.
• Travel to project sites and meetings as required.
