Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Project Manager to lead renewable energy initiatives in the Mossel Bay region. You will drive solar and wind projects from feasibility to grid connection, overseeing budgets, schedules, and teams across engineering, contractors, and regulators.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 7 years in project management within renewables, with strong leadership and communication skills to ensure safe, compliant, on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years experience in project management, with renewable energy sector.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project lifecycles, and grid integration.
• Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and external contractors; strong leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and successful delivery of renewable energy projects, including solar farms and wind energy installations.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are completed within financial and schedule constraints.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project progress.
• Oversee site selection, permitting, and environmental impact assessments for new projects.
• Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Communicate project status, risks, and key milestones effectively to stakeholders and senior management.
