Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager for end-to-end oversight of renewable energy infrastructure in Mahikeng, North West. You will steer multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and drive delivery from planning through handover.

The role requires a proven PM track record in energy/infrastructure, strong leadership and stakeholder management, and familiarity with PMI/Agile methodologies. Hybrid work arrangement in South Africa is offered.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding developer in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure projects in Mahikeng, North West. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects, from initial planning and development through to construction, commissioning, and handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, schedules, and risks, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality energy projects. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a proven track record in project management within the energy or infrastructure sectors, and a deep understanding of renewable technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of renewable energy projects, including solar farms and wind projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years focused on renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects from conception to completion, meeting budget and schedule targets.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar PV, wind turbines) and their development lifecycles.
• Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile) and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing complex project budgets.
• Ability to effectively manage risks and resolve conflicts.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
• Experience working within South Africa's regulatory and procurement landscape for energy projects is a significant advantage.
