Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on systems implementation and software deployment.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects with budgets exceeding R2 million.
• Extensive experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage distributed teams and projects remotely.

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding technology services company, is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead complex IT systems implementation projects. This role is crucial for the successful deployment of enterprise-level software solutions, cloud migrations, and digital transformation initiatives. Based remotely, you will manage projects across various client sites, ensuring seamless integration and adoption of new technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage challenging IT projects from inception to completion. This is a fully remote position, offering significant flexibility and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT systems implementation projects, including ERP, CRM, and cloud solutions.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, resource allocation, and timelines, managing dependencies effectively.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including IT specialists, developers, and business analysts.
• Manage risks and issues proactively, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to IT best practices, quality standards, and security protocols.
• Manage change management processes, ensuring smooth user adoption and transition to new systems.
• Provide regular project status updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and key stakeholders.

Requirements
