About the Role

Our client, a leading diversified group, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead critical IT infrastructure and network projects within their Randburg head office. This role is essential for the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to server upgrades, network deployments, cloud migrations, and cybersecurity enhancements. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing complex projects from inception through to successful implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security standards, and budget requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT infrastructure and network projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with IT leadership and business units.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including budget forecasting, cost control, and risk management strategies.
• Oversee project teams, including internal IT staff, external vendors, and contractors, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
• Manage the procurement of hardware, software, and network solutions, including vendor selection and contract negotiation.
• Ensure all projects comply with IT security policies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to mitigate risks and keep projects on track.
• Conduct post-project reviews to assess performance, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements.
• Facilitate effective communication and provide regular status updates to stakeholders, including senior management.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master's degree or advanced certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP) are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in IT project management, with a strong specialization in infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity projects.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex, large-scale IT infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations and network overhauls.
• In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure components, network architectures, cybersecurity principles, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be based in or willing to work from Randburg , with a hybrid work arrangement.
