About the Role

Our client, a leading multinational corporation, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee IT infrastructure and network projects within their Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, ZA operations. This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site engagement and remote flexibility. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful deployment of critical IT infrastructure upgrades, network implementations, and data center projects. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure and network projects, from initiation to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, budget, and risk management strategies.
• Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and configuration of network hardware, software, and telecommunications systems.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and service providers to ensure timely and successful project execution.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects remain within financial constraints.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate effective communication and stakeholder engagement, providing regular project status updates.

• Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, with a significant focus on infrastructure and network projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT infrastructure upgrades, network deployments, and data center projects.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPNs), server technologies, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity principles.
