Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of engineering projects in Vereeniging. You will oversee initiation, planning, execution and delivery, ensuring objectives are met on time and within scope while guiding cross‑functional technical teams.

The role demands strong leadership, stakeholder management, and proficiency with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8+ years of experience are preferred; PMP or PRINCE2

Qualifications

• 8+ years progressive experience in project management, with a focus on engineering projects.
• Experience managing large-scale technical projects and teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and closure of complex engineering projects.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Manage engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders for collaboration.
• Oversee technical aspects ensuring compliance with standards.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Prepare and present status reports to senior leadership.
