Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Project Engineer to contribute to major infrastructure projects in Vereeniging. This hybrid role balances on-site supervision with remote administration, guiding projects from planning and design coordination to execution and handover.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, ensure safety and quality compliance, and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget, while maintaining strong

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 6 years' experience in project engineering and infrastructure development.
Proven track record of managing civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of PM methodologies, contract administration, and site supervision.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in project management software is desirable.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of infrastructure projects from planning through commissioning.
Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and external consultants.
Oversee site activities ensuring safety, quality and specifications.
Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Manage budgets, control costs, and approve payments.
Prepare project reports and stakeholder communications.
