Placements24 seeks a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee major construction projects in and around Randburg, Gauteng. The role blends on-site leadership with centralized planning, budgeting, and client liaison from a central office or home office.

The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years in project management for large-scale construction, preferably in energy infrastructure, with strong skills in MS Project/Primavera P6, budgeting, and stakeholder management.

Formación

• B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8+ years PM experience, 5+ in large-scale construction.
• Experience in energy infrastructure sectors (power plants, substations, transmission).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
• Proficient in MS Project and Primavera P6.
• Excellent financial acumen and budgeting experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Professional registration (Pr.Eng/Pr.CM) desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead all phases of construction projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed plans: scope, budget, schedule, resources.
• Oversee on-site activities ensuring design and safety compliance.
• Manage project financials including cost control and forecasting.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulators.
• Mitigate risks and implement contingency plans.
• Conduct progress meetings and report to stakeholders.
• Ensure contracts and permits are complied with.
• Mentor junior PMs and site staff to uphold safety and excellence.
