Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Production Supervisor for a leading manufacturer in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will lead production staff, oversee daily output, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across shifts.

You will monitor processes, implement improvements, mentor team members, and collaborate with quality and maintenance. A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing and a Production Management qualification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a production supervisory role within a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in Kimberley / Northern Cape is highly beneficial.
• Proven leadership abilities and excellent team management skills.
• Strong understanding of production workflows, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Ability to analyze production data and implement effective improvement strategies.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• A relevant qualification in Production Management, Operations, or related field is preferred.
• Flexibility to work across different shifts as required by production demands.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide production line teams to achieve daily output and quality objectives.
• Monitor production processes, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations by all team members.
• Train and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
• Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel and materials, to optimize production efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production records and generate reports for management review.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and maintenance, to resolve production issues.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations for direct reports.
