Job summary

Placements24 is sourcing a Senior Production Supervisor for a leading automotive components manufacturer in Cape Town, Western Cape. You will oversee daily production, drive continuous improvement, and lead a multi-disciplinary team in a state-of-the-art facility.

The role demands strong leadership, expertise in production planning, quality control, and health & safety compliance, with a focus on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize throughput.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within manufacturing, preferably automotive components.
• Demonstrated leadership, ability to motivate a diverse team and drive results.
• Solid understanding of production planning, quality control, and health & safety requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with MES and ERP systems and lean initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities, ensure schedules and quality targets are met.
• Identify bottlenecks, implement solutions to optimize efficiency and throughput.
• Enforce safety procedures and promote a culture of safety.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate operators and team leaders.
• Collaborate with maintenance to minimize downtime and keep equipment in top condition.
• Implement quality controls and maintain accurate production records.
