Placements24 is seeking a Senior Production Supervisor for its Midrand, Gauteng facility. You will lead daily production operations, drive efficiency, maintain safety and quality, and manage a skilled team of technicians and line leaders.

The role demands a hands-on leader with a strong background in modern manufacturing principles, lean methods, and a focus on continuous improvement in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role in manufacturing.
• Automotive components experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and staff development track record.
• Solid knowledge of production processes and lean methods.
• Proven problem solving and decision making abilities.
• Proficiency with production management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations on the floor for efficiency.
• Mentor and develop line leaders, technicians, and operators.
• Monitor output vs targets and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to procedures.
• Apply lean principles to reduce waste and boost productivity.
• Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, and Logistics for seamless flow.
• Manage raw materials and finished goods inventory on the floor.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Maintain production records and KPI reports.
