Placements24 is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Production Supervisor to oversee critical operations in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pietermaritzburg. The role combines on-site supervision with remote administrative tasks to support production planning and quality control.

You will lead a production team, drive lean initiatives, ensure safety compliance, and optimise workflows to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Production Supervisor or similar in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production planning and quality control.
• Excellent leadership and ability to motivate teams.
• Proficient with production management tools and software.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.

Responsabilités

• Supervise daily production activities, ensuring efficient workflow and on-time schedules.
• Lead, train and motivate a production team to maintain a positive work environment.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and procedures.
• Promote lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Manage resources including personnel, materials and equipment to optimise output.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
• Maintain production records and prepare shift reports for management.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality control and logistics for smooth operations.
• Participate in production planning meetings and contribute to strategic decisions.
